Summary
Even thought I've missed a "couple" of classes for this subject I hope that I have enough to make up for that. I do wish that I put a lot more detail of the assets and sounds I implemented in my game because I don't think the reader will understand how hard it was to record crows without my mum/neighbor/dog making noises around me. Every. Time.
I also wanted to add in the Unity Group project assets made just to show how much work has gone into it. The assets would display what I have learnt throughout this course as I made a priority list of what was High and Second priority in order to time manage, etc.
I also wanted to add in the Unity Group project assets made just to show how much work has gone into it. The assets would display what I have learnt throughout this course as I made a priority list of what was High and Second priority in order to time manage, etc.
Along with my other Unity games I would also add a lot more detail of the gameplay, issues and screenshots of the game being modeled. This would include the sounds used, music, textures, etc.
For my first Tropical Unity game I would definitely demonstrate the bugs and issues I had (and how i fixed most of em) I would also go into a lot more detail of why I chose to do a game in that way and how players would enjoy the game environment.
I really enjoyed making the Assets List of all the models I made for the Level Design. I think it showcased - even if just a handful - the detail I put in the models. I do wish that I showed all the elements I used to make them - the progress and how I made all of them in screenshots would have demonstrated this easily.
The blueprints for the level would have been better understood if I put a screenshot of the ACTUAL level from birds-eye so the reader could see how I made it just from the drawing.
I do like that I put a few pictures to indicate when certain elements were used exceptionally well in a game (Assassins Creed - lighting, Dead Space - Audio Design, etc.).
Overall, the blog would need a lot more detailing of the different components used to design a level.

Induction Training
Program
New and current employees
will have OHS training seminars continuously throughout their time at THEFX. These induction trainings will
range from:
- General training relating to health, safety and legal
elements to
- Mandatory training which will provide staff to
demonstrate their understanding of the policies and allow necessary feedback to
increase the quality of the training, environment, etc.
- Mandatory evacuation training in case of emergency
Why we keep OHS records?
We are required to keep
records of training activities, first aid treatments and incident
investigations in order to:
- Recognize reoccurring risks taking place and ways to
completely eliminate it
- Have documentation on hand for any worker compensation
legislation, etc.
These entries can also give us insight into the number
and cost of injuries/incidents per year.
What we keep on record
Records
and statistics will always be on hand; these documents will be stored
electronically as well as filed manually for back-up purposes. This will insure
that no records/documentations are ever lost and copies of the documents are
available to Employees Union as well as any employee that wished to have
articles (related to them) is available.
-
OHS seminar reviews from employees will help
us understand how to enhance your training and what you would like to focus/see
change in
-
Inspection reports from external and internal
services will be filed to expose the number of incidents were controlled and
eliminated over the course
-
Investigations into internal affairs such as
bullying, harassment, etc. will be logged on employee records to keep track of
reoccurring offenders
-
First Aid assessments/records will be logged
to determine detrimental requirements to focus on
Continual Improvement
New employees will go
through a new, improved system of training. This new training will depend on
the reviews assessed during the last employees training.
The training will be
conducted with a seminar, power point and documentations about OHS. Employees
will then have to prove competence by completing a short scenario and
questionnaire that will include:
-
Risk management
protocols
-
Evacuation exercises
-
How to assess risks
and eliminate or control
-
First Aid, fire
equipment and exits are located
Course will continue
periodically throughout their employment where small groups will be gathered to
refresh their memories, new protocols will be assessed, disciplinary acts will
be mentioned, etc. Smaller groups will ensure fewer distractions and a more
controlled environment.
All forms, policies and
procedures are compliant with OHS legislations.

Report B: Hazard report form
In
the previous task you identified all the hazards in your immediate work
environment. This task requires that you identify a minimum of three hazards
and recommend specific actions.
Team member 1: Darshana Paragji Team member 2: Lucy Boyce
Date: 15/05/14
Hazard
1 Details:
1.
Description of Hazard:
There
is sufficient space for each person to work safely. The H Block art room is
very cluttered. In the back where we have to collect our work the space is
small and hard to manoeuvre around.
2.
Risk Score: 5
3. Immediate
actions that can be taken:
The
space will need to be cleaned.
4. Further
Recommendations for Rectification:
Some
of the items in the back such as the cabinets can be moved to make space.
Hazard
2 Details:
1.
Description of Hazard:
Safety
rules and evacuation routes are prominently displayed. Some of the signs are a
bit worn and the words are small.
2.
Risk Score: 6
3. Immediate
actions that can be taken:
Change the signs and make
them bigger.
4. Further
Recommendations for Rectification:
None.
Hazard
3 Details:
1.
Description of Hazard:
Floor
surfaces are maintained in a safe condition however; some of the corners in the
art room carpet come up and snag the whiteboard and shoes when you walk past.
2. Risk Score: 4
3. Immediate
actions that can be taken:
Fixing the carpet
4. Further
Recommendations for Rectification:
Until the carpet can be fixed place hazard signs or a mat
over the turned up carpet.
Report C: Risk Control Plan
In the previous exercise you identified
actions that could be taken. In this task identify those hazards that have the
greatest risk and using the table below document how the actions (controls) will be monitored.
