Game Level Assets

With the players’ role and the level objectives complete I am now able to create the asset list. The list will derive of what they player needs to interact with in order to achieve their mission. This will cut my time in half as I will have all the assets readily available for each level.

High Priority:
-         Gates (exit to level)
-         Eskys with resources
-         Handyman box (weapons such as tent pikes and hammers in inventory)

UPDATE 20/5/14:

Second Priority:
-         Tents (where main objectives lie)
-         Smaller tents for survivors hideout
-         Speakers (trap)
    In-Bound trees (used for hiding)

Game Level Blueprints


The level blueprints above are a rough idea of how the game will work.
The map outlines the main objectives for the player; he will need to rescue survivors, trap enemies, and collect resources from the three main tents (stages). Surrounding are thick trees that cannot be penetrated to escape, they are dangerous if you try as that is where the zombies spawn. The thick trees in the center of the grounds are easily accessible to escape capture and hide, though the player can only spend a limited amount of time in them until they become dangerous. The main objective is to escape the grounds at the exit however; this can only be achieved after you have defeated/trapped an amount of enemies as well as acquired a weapon to ward off attacking ones at the gate. The circles around the sides near the wall and trees can be used as hideout and also have survivors that can be used for aid if you are deemed trustworthy. 

The main objectives are labelled "Objective" with no corresponding number as these objectives can be chosen at the players whim depending on which mission they wish to complete. Minor objectives such as saving a friend are labelled as smaller circles and are scattered throughout the level.
